Der var også en tidligere D/S Fantoft:
SS Fantoft, built by Bergens Mek. Verks., Bergen in 1898 and owned at the time of her loss by Rasmus F. Olsen, Bergen, was a Norwegian steamer of 1034 tons.
On February 9th, 1918, Fantoft, on a voyage from Cardiff to Bordeaux with a cargo of coal, was sunk by a mine from the German submarine UC-69 (Erwin Waßner), off Belle Île. 6 persons were lost.
