DB sold 150 BM235 to NS in 2000 and NS used the reclassed ICK coaches between 2002 and 2009. Their interior was modernized and the NS-colours yellow/blue were applied on the exterior. They were used in intercity trains Den Haag – Venlo/Heerlen and Haarlem – Maastricht.
In 2009 they became redundant with the introduction of more new VIRM-4 EMU’s.
