Hello,

The Dutch/Belgian hispeedtrains V250, manufactured by AnsaldoBreda and therefore
also interesting for Danish railwayfans, had many problems (not supprising as
the Danish IC4 and IC2 also had many problems).
After several years of delay (I think they were planned to be used since 2007 or so),
the V250 trainsets started in the international trainservice between Amsterdam and
Brussels on 9th December 2012. Because only a few trainsets were ready to be used
only 9 of the promished 16 returntrips could be run. Only once in 2 hours. The
former hourly service between Amsterdam and Brussels (the so called Beneluxtrain)
was cancelled since this date.
The V250 still had many problems, causing many delays or failures. Some trains were
cancelled. Since last week (i think it iwas 18 or 19 januari) all V250 trainsets
are grounded when a part of the body came loose on the hispeedline.
The chief of the Belgian railways is angry and wants to take AnsaldoBreda to court.
